The ROCO Confidence Warranty

Clear coverage, matched to how your furniture is built.

Last updated: July 14, 2026

Since 1952, ROCO has built furniture in Multan for real homes, daily use and Pakistan’s demanding climate. Every piece we deliver carries a ROCO QC label — proof it passed our workshop’s final inspection before it reached your door.

Furniture is never one material. Solid wood, engineered wood, foam, upholstery, hardware and outdoor finishes each age in their own way, and a single vague warranty period cannot honestly describe how any of them will hold up over time. So we don’t use one.

The ROCO Confidence Warranty covers your furniture the way it is actually built — component by component, for up to five years. It is a limited warranty against verified manufacturing, material and workmanship defects: honest about what that means, and clear about what it does and does not include.

THE ROCO PROMISE: We stand behind our own craftsmanship. Where a genuine defect in our manufacturing, materials or workmanship appears within the applicable period, we will put it right. This is not an insurance policy, and it does not cover accidental damage, misuse or environmental damage, but everything it does cover is set out plainly on this page.

The coverage that applies to your specific product is printed on its product page, invoice, quotation or order confirmation. Where that written coverage differs from the general schedule below, the coverage stated on your invoice or order confirmation applies.

How our warranty works

Rather than apply one warranty length to every product, we match coverage to construction. The frame that carries the load and the foam you sit on are engineered to last, so they carry our longest terms. Hardware, finishes and moving parts see the most daily wear, so they carry shorter, realistic terms. This is not a way to offer less — it is a way to tell you the truth about each part of your furniture.

Your product’s construction type — solid wood, upholstered, engineered wood, mixed-material or outdoor — determines which terms apply. That type is confirmed on your product page and invoice.

Structural coverage

Structural coverage protects the principal load-bearing construction of your product against verified manufacturing or workmanship defects that materially affect its stability, strength or normal use. Depending on the product, this can include:

  • Internal sofa or chair frames
  • Bed frames and fixed structural supports
  • Table and desk frames
  • Cabinet carcasses
  • Fixed load-bearing joints and internal support members
  • Structural legs or bases manufactured by ROCO

The product-specific warranty on your invoice determines whether the structure is covered for one, two, three or five years. Non-structural parts — hardware, mechanisms, foam, upholstery, finishes, glass and stone — follow their own component terms below.

Five-year solid-wood structural warranty

Selected furniture built with structural components of Sheesham, teak, oak, kikar, jamun, or other solid wood may receive a 5-Year Limited Structural Warranty. The five-year term applies where solid wood forms the principal structural frame or load-bearing construction, and covers verified manufacturing defects in structural frame members, fixed load-bearing joints, fixed supports, ROCO-manufactured structural legs, and construction workmanship.

The presence of solid-wood trim, veneer, legs or decorative parts does not on its own qualify a complete product for five-year structural coverage. The natural characteristics of wood are addressed later and are not treated as defects.

Sofas and upholstered furniture

Unless otherwise stated, qualifying ROCO sofas and upholstered chairs are covered as follows:

Internal wooden frame and structural joints

5 years

Seat and backrest foam

5 years

Springs, webbing and fixed seat supports

2 years

Stitching and upholstery workmanship

1 year

Fabric, genuine leather or leatherette defects

1 year

Legs, handles and standard hardware

1 year

Recliner, rocker or adjustable mechanism

1 year

Electrical components

Up to 1 year

Five-year foam performance warranty

ROCO provides a 5-Year Limited Foam Performance Warranty on qualifying sofa, chair, bench, headboard and upholstered seating foam supplied and installed by ROCO, for issues arising in normal residential use.

WHAT IS COVERED

  • Abnormal permanent collapse
  • Foam crumbling or disintegration
  • Internal splitting or separation
  • Significant, unusual loss of resilience
  • Premature failure that prevents reasonable seating support

Foam naturally relaxes with use, and a change in comfort alone is not a defect. The following are normal and expected: gentle softening over time, minor body impressions, slight cover wrinkling, differences between a frequently used seat and a rarely used one, and a personal preference for a softer or firmer feel.

REMEDY

For an approved claim, ROCO repairs or replaces the affected foam core or insert. This applies to the affected component only — it does not automatically entitle you to a complete sofa, replacement of unaffected cushions, new upholstery or a full refund. Where upholstery must be opened, we make reasonable efforts to reinstall the existing cover; minor differences in firmness or feel can occur because of production batches and the normal ageing of surrounding cushions.

MDF, laminated board and engineered wood

Furniture made primarily from MDF, laminated board, particleboard or similar engineered material generally receives a 2-Year Limited Manufacturing Warranty — covering desks, study tables, media units, drawer cabinets, wardrobes, shelving, sideboards, storage furniture and selected beds and consoles. It covers verified manufacturing defects in the main carcass, fixed structural joints, ROCO assembly, installed structural panels and premature laminate lifting caused by manufacture. Installed hardware is covered for one year.

KEEP ENGINEERED WOOD DRY MDF and laminated board must be kept dry. Swelling from water, damp walls, leaks, standing water or humidity is not treated as a manufacturing defect unless ROCO confirms it resulted from a verified production or sealing failure.

Mixed-material and plywood furniture

Products combining plywood, solid wood, engineered wood, metal and other materials may receive a 3-Year Limited Structural Warranty on the principal structural carcass, frame and fixed joints manufactured by ROCO. Decorative surfaces, veneer, laminate, upholstery, hardware, glass, stone and mechanisms follow their own component terms.

Hardware, mechanisms and electrical

Drawer slides, hinges, handles, locks, catches, fasteners and standard installed hardware are covered for one year against verified manufacturing or mechanical failure. Manual recliner, rocker and adjustable mechanisms are covered for one year against verified manufacturing defects. Electrical motors, switches, charging ports, lights, wiring and control units are covered for up to one year, or per the supplier warranty stated on your invoice.

Minor loosening or adjustment that can be corrected through normal tightening is treated as routine service rather than product failure.

Upholstery, leather and stitching

Upholstery stitching and manufacturing defects in ROCO-supplied fabric, genuine leather or leatherette are covered for one year. This includes seam separation from workmanship, incorrectly secured or fitted upholstery, verified material separation, and premature peeling that ROCO confirms as a material defect.

Where you supply your own fabric or leather, its material quality is not covered, but ROCO’s installation workmanship on it remains covered for one year.

Paint, polish, laminate, veneer and finishes

Indoor finishes applied or supplied by ROCO are covered for one year against verified manufacturing defects — premature finish peeling, adhesion failure, laminate lifting caused by production, significant finish inconsistency not accepted at delivery, and premature cracking from incorrect application.

Outdoor furniture

Furniture expressly sold by ROCO as outdoor furniture is covered as follows, unless otherwise stated:

Principal frame and structural joinery

1 year

Outdoor rope, weave and stitching

6 months

Outdoor cushions and covers

6 months

Applied outdoor finish

6 months

Hardware

6 months

Outdoor furniture tolerates normal outdoor conditions, but no outdoor material stays unchanged under continuous sun, rain, standing water, pollution or humidity. Store cushions in a clean, dry, ventilated place when not in use.

Glass, mirror, marble and stone

INSPECT ON DELIVERYGlass, mirror, marble and natural-stone components must be inspected at delivery. Report any visible cracks, chips, breakage, major surface defects or incorrect component within 48 hours, with clear photographs or video. After this window, damage to these materials is not covered unless ROCO confirms an installation or manufacturing defect.

Natural stone may show veining, texture differences, mineral marks, pores and shade variation. These are natural characteristics, not automatically defects.

Natural material characteristics

Furniture made from natural materials will never be perfectly uniform — and that variation is part of its character, not a fault. The following are normal:

NATURAL WOOD

Grain variation, knots and mineral marks, colour and texture differences, small differences between matching pieces, minor expansion or contraction, fine surface checking that does not affect structural use, and gradual colour change with age and sunlight.

GENUINE LEATHER

Natural scars, grain differences, wrinkles and creases, shade variation, differences between hides, and the gradual development of patina.

MARBLE AND STONE

Veining, colour variation, natural pores, mineral marks, and differences between slabs. ROCO assesses whether a reported variation is a natural characteristic or a genuine defect.

Delivery inspection

A quick inspection at delivery protects you. You or the person receiving the order should check the product on arrival — a short unboxing or delivery video is strongly recommended.

Transit damage, wrong or missing items, visible defects

Report within 48 hours

Glass, mirror, marble or stone

Report within 48 hours

Installation, levelling, alignment or missing fittings

Report within 7 days

Signing a delivery note does not remove your rights over hidden manufacturing defects. Visible delivery damage reported after the 48-hour window may be difficult to verify and may not qualify for free correction.

What is not covered

So the coverage above stays clear, every exclusion lives here in one place rather than scattered through the document. The ROCO Confidence Warranty does not cover damage resulting from the following.

NORMAL USE AND AGEING

Ordinary wear and tear; minor scratches, dents and marks; upholstery wrinkles and fabric pilling; gradual foam softening; fading or colour change; normal loosening that needs adjustment; and the expected ageing of natural materials.

ENVIRONMENT AND MOISTURE

Damp walls or floors, water leakage, flooding, excessive humidity, prolonged direct sunlight, extreme heat, poor ventilation, mould or mildew, coastal salt exposure, and standing water.

PESTS

Termites, wood borers, rodents, insects or other pests originating in the customer’s property. ROCO may inspect suspected pest-related damage before determining the cause.

IMPROPER USE AND HANDLING

Dragging furniture; incorrect lifting or relocation; sitting or standing on tables, desks, arms or backrests; jumping on furniture; overloading or uneven loading; use on a severely uneven floor; using furniture for a purpose it was not designed for; and failure to follow product-care instructions.

ACCIDENTAL AND EXTERNAL DAMAGE

Impact, fire, flood, theft, building damage, falling objects, damage caused by children or pets, and damage caused by movers, couriers or other service providers after delivery.

CLEANING AND TREATMENT

Harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, excessive water, paint thinner, acetone, bleach, unapproved steam cleaning, and any customer-applied varnish, polish, oil, paint or protective coating.

UNAPPROVED MODIFICATION OR REPAIR

Drilling, cutting, altering dimensions, installing accessories, third-party repair, dismantling or reassembly, electrical modification, or replacing original hardware without ROCO approval. An unauthorised alteration voids coverage only for the affected component or connected damage.

Making a claim

To submit a claim, contact ROCO on WhatsApp or by email and include:

  • Your invoice, order number or registered phone number
  • The product name and delivery location
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Clear photographs of the complete product and the affected area
  • A short video where movement, sound or mechanism failure is involved
  • A photograph of the ROCO QC label, where available
  • The approximate date you first noticed the issue

WhatsApp: +92 317 6965610 Email: info@roco.pk

The absence of a QC sticker does not automatically invalidate a claim where the purchase can be verified through ROCO’s records.

How we assess a claim

We normally acknowledge a complete claim within three business days. Assessment may include a review of your photographs and video, remote troubleshooting, a request for further evidence, inspection by a ROCO representative, or workshop examination. An initial response is not the same as approval.

A claim is approved once ROCO confirms that the warranty period is active, the product was purchased from ROCO, the affected component is covered, the issue resulted from a manufacturing, material or workmanship defect, and no applicable exclusion caused or materially contributed to the damage.

Our remedies

For an approved claim, we choose the remedy appropriate to the defect — adjustment, on-site or workshop repair, replacement of an affected part, foam or hardware, replacement with an equivalent component, or full product replacement where repair is not practical. The warranty does not automatically provide a cash refund or complete replacement where the defect can reasonably be corrected. Where an original material, colour or finish is no longer available, we use the closest reasonable equivalent.

Service, collection and transport

For approved claims, ROCO covers repair or replacement of the warranted component. Where we confirm a manufacturing defect at or shortly after delivery, we may cover reasonable service and transport costs. For later claims, remote-area claims, workshop service, or cases where no covered defect is found, visit or transport charges may apply — and any charge is communicated before service is arranged. Please do not dispatch furniture to ROCO without written instructions.

Coverage after repair or replacement

A repair or replacement does not restart the full original warranty. The repaired or replaced component remains covered for the remainder of the original warranty, or 90 days from completion, whichever is longer. A replacement product does not create a new full warranty period unless confirmed in writing.
